Human civilization has thrived by harnessing water for drinking, agriculture, and industry, but our increasing demand and management practices have often overlooked the equally critical needs of the natural world. A sustainable future requires us to recognize and manage water as a shared resource, vital for both human well-being and the health of the ecosystems that support us.
